Why do we use an aluminium mixture in disc polishing?

Actually, Aluminium Mixture powder is used as it is really very hard and abrasive, like diamond and silicon-carbide. It’s just like grinding but the difference is that the abrasive particles are very small so, there takes place very fine grinding or polishing.
